Superior Spider-Man Team-Up #9

Liz says: This week’s team-up reunites Spidey with Daredevil and the Punisher, who last joined forces for the fun “Omega Effect” crossover two or so years ago (Find it! Read it!). The dynamic between these three characters was interesting, to begin with, as they previously represented three very different methods and mentalities of crime-fighting: one true blue hero, one shadowy vigilante, and one stone-cold killer. But this time around, Spidey is Otto Octavius… which means the shades of black and white between them just got a whole lot greyer.
“Omega Effect” artist Marco Checchetto brings his reliable skills to the table, and writer Kevin Shinick manages to insert some humor and set a tone of suspicion between them before launching into what turns out to be quite a ‘Superior Spidey’ relevant plot. Without giving too much away, if you’re reading Superior Spider-Man there’s a pretty major development that takes place in this issue, ending on one heck of a cliffhanger! My favourite Spidey team-up in a while, and with more to come. Sweet!
