The Superior Foes of Spider-Man Volume 1 TPB
Nick Spencer (w), Steve Lieber (a)
Marvel Comics

Liz says: In the same way that ‘Superior Spider-Man’ opened the door for baddies to take center stage, so too does ‘Superior Foes’, with similarly entertaining results. And who better to take a gaggle of lying, cheating D-List villains to the forefront of a story than Nick Spencer, whose pointed sense of humor and knack for snappy dialogue has a tendency to make even the most obscure of his characters shine. Spencer is best when he’s bringing the fun, and that’s just what he’s doing in ‘Superior Foes’. Follow the adventures of the new Sinister Six as they concoct dastardly schemes, dodge the wrath of the Punisher, and try to stay out of jail, all under the upturned nose of their despised nemesis, the Superior Spider-Man. This book came as a pleasant surprise, and if you’ve overlooked it (as I did until the trade came out this week) you’ll be missing out on a treat.
