All-New Marvel Now! Point One

Liz says: 2014! Exciting times! And what could be more thrilling than a book chock-full of previews of all-new titles for the year ahead? This week’s All-New Marvel Now! Point One delivers just that, previewing a number of upcoming series that will debut over the course of the next few weeks. Which books are these, you ask? Already on the shelf this week are two such offerings in the form of a gorgeous-looking Black Widow book and the globetrotting Avengers World series. Yet to hit the shelves are All-New Invaders (Steve and Bucky! Human Torch and Namor!), a Muslim teen Ms. Marvel named Kamala Khan who I’m totally prepared to love, and the Silver Surfer coming back to the forefront via powerhouse creative team Mark Waid and Mike Allred. Last but not least there’s Loki: Agent of Asgard, who steals the show as his story plays out incrementally over the course of the issue. If this little taster is anything to go by, it’s going to be a great year for Marvel – and for me as a reader.
