Liz says: This week’s issue reveals the identity of the female Thor, and I find myself satisfied and pleasantly (almost) surprised. The character in question is one that I guessed at, then ruled out, then guessed at again – all part of the fun of her introduction. I’m pleased that Jason Aaron chose an established character, one with a lot of untapped potential who deserves a good storyline and hasn’t particularly had one in a long time. If you do a little bit of internet research, you’ll find that this outcome has some basis in Marvel history in the form of a ‘What If?’ story, so perhaps this has always been her destiny.

The issue itself was a pleasure to read, particularly in the handling of a red herring, which managed to keep me guessing right up until the end. Well done, Jason Aaron – I welcome the next chapter in the saga of Thor, Goddess of Thunder, and the woman beneath the mask.
