Deadly Class Volume 5

Liz says: Wow! ‘Worth the wait’ is a massive understatement. After the mind-blowing, heart-shattering fourth volume of this series, I decided the way forward (for me) with ‘Deadly Class’ was to wait for the trade and consume it in one heady, emotion-churning go. This series is beyond compare at what it does; it makes you care so much about the characters that when terrible things happen to them it’s hard to turn the page, but at the same time impossible not to. This volume, in particular, had a tough act to follow; the ‘Die for Me’ story-arc was so epic that it could have easily served as the end of the series. But transitioning into the new school year ended up being so smooth that by the time it all hit the fan again I found that I had grown really attached to the new cast of characters and was desperate for them to survive. And the last chapter in this volume… well, like I said: Wow. I recommend this book constantly because I think it might be the best thing going. Glad to report that it still is.
